Machine Type:
8775
Serial Number:
  8775 Power Supply Card
The IBM 8775 video display terminal, developed in Hursley, was announced October 3rd 1978 as part of the IBM 8100 Information System.

The display could highlight characters and words by varying their intensity, blinking or showing dark characters on a light background, and supported 3,440 characters on its anti-reflective screen.

Although using almost identical covers to the IBM 3279 Colour Display Terminal, also a Hursley product announced 1979, the IBM 8775 had a monochrome "green screen" display.

This card is the power supply card from the 8775. We do not know of the existence of any surviving 8775s. A photograph can be found here.
