| The IBM 3370 introduced thin-film head technology to large disk files. Initial units provided 571.3 MB of auxiliary storage for the IBM 4331 and 4341 processors, as well as System/38. Up to four 3370 devices could be attached to any S/38 Model 5 for an additional 2285.5 MB.
