| Punch card unit record equipment could be programmed using plug panels like the one displayed here. This is a very small panel compared to those used by the 0557 Interpreter or the 421 and 444 Tabulators. Various parts of the machine's circuitry were brought out to the contact matrix behind the panel. The panel is printed with the circuit elements, and the programmer would plug between these to set up logic paths to customise how the machine would process the data.
